One interesting statistic has stayed with me since I started my business in 2006.  On average,  a family will only have one family image taken during their lifetime.  I am still shocked when I think about the missed opportunity to freeze time with a family photo.   Each time I am able to capture a family,  I love to watch the dynamic unfold.  I study the birth order relationship.  I watch the relationship between husband and wife; no matter how long they have been married they still love to kiss and dip when asked to do so.  I watch how the family pet always seems to steel the show.   Family sessions are one of my favorite sessions I take on a weekly basis .  I love when people call me “their photographer”.  It really makes me feel that I have captured the trueness of their family over the years.  Honestly,  I am so honored to know that you are allowing me to beat the odds of one family photo over a lifetime,  and giving me the opportunity to photograph your family many times over! 

Although I tend to photograph a lot of families at my studio,  I prefer to photograph large groups of families on location.   We live in Florida,  and it is great to take advantage of our scenic backgrounds!  I have a few favorite parks and of course,  the West Coast beaches are incredible!   Upon your booking,   we will discuss wardrobe and location.  I really try to work around nap schedules and feeding schedules to keep the little ones happy.   Wardrobe is super important,  and I really like to photograph beach sessions with shoes off.   I love to capture traditional images  (everyone smiling at the camera) and candid images (looking and laughing at each other).  I try to make the session as fun and painless for the entire family-  especially the family pet!
